in honor of what was supposed to be a weekend in salzburg, i’m paying homage to the von trapps with a few of my favorite things …
miss piper lane.
miss stella jane.
taking pictures of these two frauleins.
writing.
giving these pictures a home and a story.
i love love love telling the story of my chicklets … and capturing those stories and images in these photobook / scrapbook / memorybook / things (i don’t really know what to call them?). anyway, clearly i haven’t had much time to sit and play around in photoshop as of late, but now that we are settled i’m getting my groove back. hello, late nights. i tend to get a bit obsessed and find myself cropping and editing and playing with color and font until suddenly it’s 3am and i start freaking out about how soon the girls will be up.
but it’s all worth it. the process itself (tapping into my would-be graphic designer) and then the finished product – so worth every minute of lost sleep.
here are a few images from fraulein piper’s 4-year book (good lord i’m so far behind, but am not going to let myself think about that now!).
court - um, seriously?! you should so be a graphic designer. so great. if it makes you feel on the ball. i have one real hard copy scrabook to do for lars 0-12 months (only bc ella has one and i can’t let 2nd child get the lazy mom approach), then snapfish book version for age 1-2 for lars, age 3-4 for ella and soon 4-5. oh that just made my heart beat. i should go do that instead of reading every facebook update. love you!
