midnight!

view from our windows. i pulled a sleeping piper out of bed so she could share the moment with us – she thought that was the best thing EVER. like her mama, she’s not a huge fan of the booming noises, so we kept the windows closed … until wen convinced her to go out on our balcony. so brave.

her face was priceless. it’s the middle of the night, she’s AWAKE (and it’s ALLOWED), and there are beautiful explosions of color from every window in our apartment. how can this be?!

the perfect start to our new year. i’ll never forget this moment.
