Apologies, dear friends, that I’ve been a bit MIA lately (not that I would presume to think anyone is waiting with anticipation for my updates, but still … ). Last week we moved into our new flat, and I’ve mostly been focused on organizing and placing and fluffing and rearranging … and simply enjoying the new nest.

I have come to realize that the old adage “absence makes the heart grow fonder” is not only true for people, but for STUFF as well. Last Wednesday the carton filled with our things from home arrived (made it through customs just in time for moving day – thank you, Lord!) and it was a beautiful reunion. Hello, sectional sofa – we have missed you! Greetings, king size bed – why yes, I would LOVE to take a nap on you! And all of the girls toys – hello to you as well! Piper and Stella thought it was Christmas in July to see all of their favorites again.

I’m so thankful to say it already feels like home.
